Symptoms of Malaria

Malaria parasites are transmitted by female Anopheles mosquitoes. The parasites multiply within red blood cells, causing Malarial attacks. Malarial attacks present over 4 to 6 hours with
  • Chills with high fever and sweating
  • Fatigue
  • AHeadache & Dizziness
  • The diabetic child loses weight and looks lean.
  • Nausea and Vomiting
  • Abdominal cramps
  • Dry cough
  • Muscle or joint pain
  • Back ache
  • Anemia Symptoms

Prevention

Prevention is based on,
  • Evaluating the risk of exposure to infection
  • Preventing mosquito bites by using DEET mosquito repellant, nets, and clothing that covers most of the body
  • Chemoprophylaxis
